Aiyana began her teaching career in 2000 when she was just under 19 years old. She started with only piano students and quickly found she enjoyed teaching very much and began organizing two recitals a year for her students, which is still her tradition to this day. Since Aiyana's first recital in December of 2000, she has continued to host at least 2 recitals a year to allow her students the opportunity to perform and be musically expressive.  Aiyana has also hosted student recitals at retirement homes as a community service and a way for herself and her students to give back.

Aiyana Cadwell graduated with a Bachelor's of Arts degree in music from the University of Central Florida in 2004.  Aiyana's primary focus in college was on classical piano, but she was also able to explore and study jazz improvisation during her college years. Shortly after graduating, Aiyana gained work experience as a piano accompanist to a variety of instruments and vocalists. Aiyana also started playing in restaurants and for private events directly after college. She gained experience as a performer while also building her music teaching skills.

Aiyana's flute experience is teaching beginner to intermediate level flute students.  Aiyana played the flute in middle and high school and continued to keep up her flute playing after she graduated high school.  Flute is a secondary instrument for Aiyana, but none the less she has successfully taught beginner and intermediate flute students how to play and improve on the instrument.

In 2008 Aiyana made a move to Los Angeles, CA where she continued to teach and to also explore her songwriting abilities. She has written and recorded her own full length album, EPs, singles and recorded on many music collaborations. Her experience as a songwriter, performer, and in the recording studio gives her a variety of skills to be able to help students with who want to take their music interests to different levels.

To add to her desire to educate students with a well rounded approach to music fundamentals, Aiyana joined the Music Teacher's Association of California (MTAC) in 2010.  As an active member of MTAC Aiyana is able to enroll her students in the statewide recognized piano program called Certificate of Merritt. Through Certificate of Merritt students are able to be tested on music fundamentals such as music theory, ear training, sight reading, and technique as well as learn repertoire that is appropriate for their skills level.  CM is a wonderful program for those students who respond very well to structure and "passing levels", being evaluated, and given written feedback on.

Shortly after Aiyana's move to L.A. in 2008, she began teaching beginner voice students. She has since continued to teach voice and develop her skills to effectively communicate how to practice vocals and improve one's singing.  Through years of private vocal study to improve her own voice and through the experience of teaching voice she has gained a skill set that allows her to genuinely help people at many skill and talent levels to improve and develop their singing voices.

Aiyana now currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee  where she continues to thrive as a private music instructor bringing enrichment to families across Nashville from Bellevue to Brentwood, Franklin to Priest Woods Communities.
